World Tour 2016 - 3rd Stage: Tour de France - Luca7
This is the third contest of World Tour 2016.
If you want to participate you will draw a Tour de France, respecting some obligations. This time they are very simple!
In the last contest we saw a lot of very hard routes (includes mixed ITT). Tour de France is the most balanced GT, so you must enter at least 80 km of plain TT. You can freely use ITT and TTT to achieve this goal (examples: 30 km of TTT + 50 km of ITT or 20 km of TTT + 40 km of ITT + 30 km of ITT). It will be your duty to balance these TTT with a adequate number of climbs. Important: plain ITT = the editor doesn't detect climbs.
ASO paid the asphalting of Col du Parpaillon, so you must insert it in the route.
Sardegna (Sardinia), tired of being snubbed by Giro d'Italia, catched ASO's attention. So, the Grand Départ of this Tour must be in Sardegna. You can decide how many stages place in the island.
Don't include impraticable road and respects the UCI Regulations. Remember that the jury, consisting of me and emmea90, can assign penalties in percentage of votes (for examples the 10% of the votes) in the case of infringements of regulations.
I think we will assign a 10% penality for each normal error (maximum distance, impraticable roads,
too dangerous descents, prohibited circuits...) and 20% for each serious error (the last climb is impracticable, the last descent is too dangerous, rapes of UCI regulations...).
The deadline is 24 July at 23.59
To partecipate write here the link of your tour. You can keep the stages private: we will think to make them public after the deadline.
Stage descriptions aren't compulsory, but consider that voting is popular, therefore a good description can encourage the users to vote your routes.
I recommend to present your proposal in English or in your native language in a showroom to have a greater visibility.
Then we will open a topic with a secret poll. For one week every user (participants included) can vote (also himself) and review the races. The user with the most votes win the contest and become the winner of Tour de France 2016.
Use this topic for whatever question or to confirm your participation (not mandatory).

Can we use stages already drawn, for example in the last months?

I am going to keep it private, but check my showroom because I will be releasing some of my stages.

Here is my Tour. I hope you like it.

Just one more thing, I don't know how the kilometers of flat TT should be counted. They are just the ones which are in a completely flat TT (without marked climbs in all the course of the stage), or the flat (uncoloured) kilometers of a TT, even if it isn't a completely flat TT, as, for example, in my third timetrial, the first 8-10 km and the last 6-8?

I am not fully sure I got the rule concerning the TT correctly, but the way I understood it is that you have to put 80km of TT at least, all those km have to be without detected climbs*. If I got it right the second TT you added is probably making u out of the contest, so it is better to check with the admins.taaramae_crack wrote: Just one more thing, I don't know how the kilometers of flat TT should be counted. *again according to my interpretation that does not mean you cannot put KOM in TT... but they must not appear in the "climb detection" phase of the creation, small hills are allowed. Take a look at my course... Both Individual TT have a KOM but if you check on the gps track the KOM won't be recognized
