As you probably have read elsewhere, Google Maps decided to raise his prices with an increase of paid quota plus a decrease of free API usage.

The prices required are no longer comparable with a massive use of the editor.

The editor will fast migrate on OSM maps considering the possibility to add more maps (example bing) in future. Google maps will be used at the moment by the staff only for the race database part.

As soon as google services will be down, we will remove the usage of the Google direction Service for routing, using yournavigation as replacement. In the next day the elevation service will be replaced and then, as final part, the whole Google Maps.

As a lot of code has to be changed in this part, please report us any bug.

Sembra che al momento non la supporti. Prova ad usare "traccia in senso contrario" intanto per tracciare al contrario del senso di marcia.

I am sorry to communicate we had to remove automatic streetview on climbs and cobbles as google price of the API was too much high for the free tier.

I don't know if there is any relation but the Y-Axis seems to be bigger, even in Normal. I exported the GPX of an older track and imported in a new track and the two profiles are different, both with the Y-Axis in Normal and Profile size in High.

Edit: Now it's ok. But there is one more thing: Tracking is not working in United States, Brazil, Canada and maybe other North/South America countries. I'm using the drive mode.

I agree with MountainMaster: tracking is definitely down in Canada...

I will re-enable google direction service temporary. I won't deny we are in troubles with new google prices to keep the site open as we are going out of the free tier quotas

Just to let you know, it seems that direction service is only working when I zoom out enough. Whenever I am zoomed in, it does not work, but if I zoom out so that a larger region is shown, and then click my points, it is able to find the route. Hope this can be fixed!

From now on the editor will be temporary closed and will be re-opened when the work on OSM maps will be ended as we have already almost run out of Google Maps free quota for this month (in 8 days). Sorry to take this decision but keeping it open for public would be, with current traffic, an expenses of about $500-600 for month that we can't afford at the moment. We will continue with our staff working on the race part that is fundamental for our activity.

Further communications on status of the new work and when the new editor with OSM will came out will follow.

Of course all the contests are suspended from now

The OSM editor is almost at 90%. Only a few things missing but crucial like a decent elevation profile service.

Almost ready to release an editor with the basic parts (no cobbles/kom/white roads map yet, no streetview as it's only google exclusive). Need some "betatesters". Write in this topic if you are interested in it
