My votes

Position #5
pincoletto: maps/tours/view/8713
A very nice Giro, with one of the best balance between time trial and climbers chances. Only thing I dislike is the few attention spent for Appennini

Position #4
emilio.torre: maps/tours/view/8235
A fascinating Giro, well balanced, but with too many "Vuelta-like" stages, I mean just with the final climb at the end of an easy stage

Position #3
david.tuci: maps/tours/view/8361
An excellent Giro, very equilibrated, but with two minor issues: too short time trial for my taste, and a few high altitude climbs

Position #2
xiky: maps/tours/view/8377
A wonderful Giro, very near to perfection. Only minor criticisms are the small number of "classic" climbs, and the fact the last time trial is followed by climbs (my personal taste, and the tradition, tell the opposite)

Position # 1
bomby: maps/tours/view/9004
My favourite Giro. Perfect balance between Alpi and Appennini, and between the different kinds of climb stage. It puts together tradition and innovation (Dolomiti, Stelvio and Mortirolo, but also a number of Appennini climbs not frequently included like Vesuvio and Monte Amiata), Moreover, nice landscapes and last but not least very accurate stage design with a lot of intermediate points to make easier the stage understanding. I appreciated a lot the Tuscany stage with "strade bianche", similar to pavè stages in Tour. Too few kilometres in time trial, but it is a small defect if compared with the many strong points.

This is my vote for Giro d'Italia contest

5th position - Simone Galbiati : maps/tours/view/8237
Perfect construction of the Giro's route with some light serious fault

4th position - Ivan98 : maps/tours/view/8238
Exceptional route without any error but with some piece of cyclistical story and not, good route

3th position - Mauro : maps/tours/view/8284
Perfect run for Giro, with a restart from Apulia, one fault is that he doesn't pass from Campania, an justifiable error. perfect route

2nd position - Lorenzo Tripodi : maps/tours/view/8441
good construction, is seen also littleness that grand tours managers commit, excellent route

1st position - Pereiroseleccion : maps/tours/view/8254
The absolute perfection

MY VOTE:

5th: taaramae_crack
I like that giro, especially that 15th stage. I think there's not enough space for the finish of stage 13, also Asiago and Reggio Emilo were already in 2017 giro, you lose some points because of that fact. And I think stage 19 is too hard with 6000 D+.

4th benoit.guillot
That Nivollet stage is my favorite. Beautiful landscapes, fantastic finish for a giro. I like other stages, but you put in your route Firenze which was already in 2017.

3rd: ded_moroz
I like that. Just gonna say what displeases me, i like the rest. I'm not fan of the TTT in 2nd stage, it's a bit useless. The 9th stage finishes in the middle of nowhere, and the last climb in dirt road, im not fan. The finish on Mont Mangart is really really beautiful, well played for having found that, but I think it is a bit dangerous with all these rocks and maybe there's not enough place. Last thing that displeases me is the ITT in 20th stage, but the rest is very good.

2nd: Pereiroseleccion
This tour is really cool, well done. As others, just gonnay say what i dont like. You put Milano, a city which giro finished in in 2017. The start of the ITT (10th stage) is stangely placed. And last thing, I dont think a finish on Monte Grappa is a good idea, but thats only my opinion.

1st: mauro
This is my favourite route because of the originiality of the race. The things that displease me are the 20th stage in strade bianche, it can make gaps but i think mountains are more adapted in GT end. In the stage of mortirolo, the road who goes to the last climb is very dangerous, i think it's not a good idea to go there, but the stage is very original . The stage of 80km to SADV would have been better if it ended in downhill i think, because the leaders won't attack a lot in a MTF.

Congratulations to everybody, all routes were cool but these are my favorites, GOOD LUCK

FIFTH PLACE: Bomby
Good route, but the inclusion of that amount of Strade makes the route more risky for flat tires for GC riders.

FOURTH PLACE: Taaramae_crack
Very well made, but total route length is a bit on the lower side. 2 long ITT's though.

THIRD PLACE: Pincoletto
Beautiful route, just a lack of high mountains.

SECOND PLACE: Simone Galbiati 2
I don't like the combinatio of Israel and then 1 stage in Sicily. So transfer issues just drops you one place.

FIRST PLACE: david.tuci 1

Surprising with the Alps first, well balanced.

5th place Giorgio.ponticelli - a very nice Giro with a lot of good stages, but i don't like the first weekend.

4th place Taaramae_crack - a very good Giro without remarkable errors.

3rd place Marco08 - a normal Giro with a fantastic mountain stages, especially Pejo and 3 Cime.

2nd place mike4296 - the track is perfectly balanced, the stage of Monte Piana is fantastic.

1st place mauro - a very original Giro, for me the best of the contest.

5th place. ciro.abete
A nice route, but I think that the time trial kilometers are too long in total.

4th place. pabloagb
I really like the stage to Val Gardena. You have a good route. Maybe it was better to stay with the normal Israel stages.

3rd place. Lorenzo06
I saw the Bormio stage and I thought you would use the Stelvio. But you made a really nice stage without the Stelvio. Also good to see Cortina d'Ampezzo.

2nd place. Pereiroseleccion
You have some original finish locations, thats good. The only thing is that I think that there are too many time trial kilometers.

1st place. Laplaz
For me this is the best route, good amount of time trial kilometers and the Passo Pordoi stage is a really good one.

*5th place
david.tuci-v2

A tour with many classic climbs, a little bit unbalanced in favour of ITT specialists; some doubts about praticability of Rifugio Calvanico finish.

4th place
mike4296

Nice track but just one high mountain stage on Apennini in first 13 stages and a lot of ITT Kilometers.

3rd place
belgian4444

The tour with most interesting stages, but unbalanced in favour of climbers (36 KOM sprints 2nd category or more).

2nd place
rdz1201

A very balanced one, beautiful mountain stages at the end of first week, 20th stage too short on my opinion.

1st place
nebe-v1

Perfect balance between ITT specialists and climbers, great alpine stages.

MY VOTE:

5th: simone.galbiati, top hills in Appenino, Dolomiti and Western Alps, very good, I prefer a longest ITT.
4th: lorenzo.ciconte, first two weeks quite easy and a very hard final. Susa-Sestriere ITT is 47 Km, to much I think.
3rd: Lorenzo06, a good giro but I don't like ITT in the last real stage, I want to see fight in mountain
2nd: lorenzo.tripodi, ITT in the last real day, but before a very hard week, maybe to much
1st: For me is perfect, last week hard, last two days in the Alps to decide the winner

1-rmax85: percorso equilibrato, giusto risalto lle salite appenniniche, a quelle alpine e a quelle lombarde e venete.

Fifth place: CaramelMou: Very original and different last week, but maybe, because of that, mountain has less importance than it should have in a Giro

Fourth place: Federico.belluco: Compensated route, with some stages that I really liked. The only problem for me is that last two stages are too similar to the real ones of this year.

Third place: Rmax: Different but interesting stages. Also very compensated route. Good job.

Second place: Marco08: I liked very much your mountain stages, possibly the best ones on this contest, but I think there's not enough time trial. With some kilometers more you could have been my winner.

First place: Mike4296: Original stages and almost without errors. Compensated route, searching most of the times for far attacks. Very well done!

Ps. federico.belluco said what liked him about the route in the first position of his post, but not which one is that route

I wanna thank you all for the votes, unfortunately I didn't have time to check all the routes in a proper way so I got the malus... nonrulo

Anyway Monte Piana and Monte Zugna are 100% practicable arrivals: the first one could host a stage of the real Giro this year, whereas I've been phisically on Zugna and there were many cars parked there.
