Season 2019 tracking contests

Season 2019 tracking contests

The contests are back for 2019 Season.

As there are serious problems with the free API of the editor, we'll suggest you to use websites like https://ridewithgps.com/ then import there the GPX if you have problems to track.

We waited the start of the core of cycling sesason to launch the contests and this year the contest will not be focused on real races (at least only) but will be a mix/fantasy races and not related to the real race in that period

Each contest has still to be delivered exclusively using our editor for having all the routes in a single place for us and for the partecipants that has to vote. You can keep your route private and making it public at the moment of the deadline, but at the end your route must be public. Of course you can use other websites for tracking then import the gpx and insert the sprints there.

For each contest the classification will be made by voting in the topic of the contest. Votes has to be made in clear, providing motivations for them otherwise they will be rejected. According to contest number of partecipants we will provide number of votes you must express and points scale. If you compete in contest, you can't vote for yourself and you have to vote otherwise you will get a penalty.

There won't be a point scale but this year the points are delivered according to the number of routes delivered.
  • Over 20: 100, 80, 70, 60, 50, 40, 35, 30, 25, 20, 15, 10, 5, 2, 1 points
  • From 16 to 20: 80, 60, 35, 25, 20, 15, 10, 5, 2, 1 points
  • From 11 to 15: 50, 35, 25, 15, 10, 5, 2, 1 points
  • At least 10: 30, 15, 10, 5, 1 points
If two users has the same points after voting, the user with the high number of 1st choice got the top spot. If those are equal, high number of 2nd choices and so on.

For each contest you can send one route only. This is because last year who delivedered more than one route had their vote splitted.

You can also compete as a team for one or all the contest but, in case you decide to split at some point of the competition, you must split your points also (you can also decide to split 100% and 0% if one wants to retire).

Use this topic for questions and good luck to all!
