My vote for this beautiful contest ! and congrats to all of you ! Great job out there, very difficult to choose five of you. Anyway :

5th position : Alfa-V1 - maps/tours/view/8645 - Very beautiful track but 8 High moutain stages is too many.

4th position : rdZ1201-V1 - maps/tours/view/8916 - beautiful track, but too difficult because of the long stages and the important amount of high moutain stages.

3rd position : Pincoletto-V1 - maps/tours/view/9328 - so spectacular track but one more time may be too difficult.

2nd position : chuimiento -V1 - maps/tours/view/9171 - Too bad there is no stages across Franche-Comté, you almost reach perfection !

1st position - Laplaz-V1 - maps/tours/view/9472 Very cool One ! Difficult with some beautiful climb find in many place that Tour de France have never seen.

5h position: Mauro-V1: maps/tours/view/8697 - nice route but mountain stages are probably overdone.

4th position: Tomremn-V1: maps/tours/view/9960 - nice balance between mountains and ITT. First week could have been a bit harder and there's just three 200km+ stages.

3rd position: Pontix-V1: maps/tours/view/9592 - nice and creative medium and high mountain stages. One MTF at Pyrenees would have been nice. Love that ITT is put before Alpes.

2nd position: JibiValverde-V2: maps/tours/view/9749 - love creativity of hilly stages of the first week. TTT and ITT balances with mountains very well. Don't know if Parpaillon is considered a proper road.

1st position: DYDYDYDOU-V1: maps/tours/view/6065 - looks like the route which is close to perfection.

My vote :

FIFTH PLACE - Pereiroseleccion
A first week close to the real 2018 with two paved day. A rise to the high mountain and original summit arrivals.

FOURTH PLACE - DYDYDYDOU
A beautiful exploitation of four massive, a beautiful step towards Amberieu and surprising but innovative ideas.

THIRD PLACE - TimoNierop
Departure in Vendée, the pavement followed by a nice transition but disappointing Vosges. Beautiful Pyrenees even if not very original but a superb last week with two arrivals at the top (+ for Beaufort) and a beautiful idea with Annecy by the Semnoz.

SECOND PLACE - Pontix
A balanced course with pavement, mountain, four massive (well) used and a long chrono placed early enough to force climbers to move. Very good.

FIRST PLACE - Xiky
A lot of counter-clock (70km) but the mountain also favorable to large gaps, as the beautiful step pavers to Cambrai. Beautiful ideas, few mistakes. An excellent route!

5th place: Arnorius-v1
Interesting route with some originality, just don't understand why you finished your stage in Colombière and not in Grand Bo.
4th place: TimoNierop-v1
I like all stages but my favourites are Deux Alpes and Valenciennes. Others are well made and i like your originality.
3rd place: DYDYDYDOU-v2
I like your track, overall the stage which finishes in Samoëns, which is a very hard climb but unknown. I like the fact that the last stage starts of Rethondes, it's interesting for history.
2nd place: bocmanis82-v1
I love stages of Val Thorens and Mont d'Ore, not famous climbs but interesting. Other stages are original so you deserve for me a place in my top 5.
1st place: antoninvds-v1
Your route is very interesting and well balanced, with climbs i love like Iseran or Tentes.

Hi ! There is my vote for this contest !
Globally, I'm glad to see that you are more and more numerous to draw some stages in the northern part of the Vosges mountain, especially in the Donon and Champ du Feu areas. This is where I live and some of you make some really great stages right here ! Thank you for wanting my region be in the Tour ! clap
I took consideration of the contest rules edited by the staff to select my best five routes, particularly on 2017 key parts, and all about redrawing the official route (Firstly Alps and then Pyrénées to finish as an example). WWI remembrances are a bonus to me.

5th : benoit.guillot - V1.
I relly like Areches finish and your Vosges stage, even if the Ballon d'Alsace is sacrified in the beginning of the following stage. Globally, this is well-balanced and you have good ideas : Les Eparges is by the way a really good one. I think you can do even better !

4th : Mauro.
Full of good ideas, but maybe too hard ! Your three Pyrénées stages are so different and this is very interesting, like your cobbled TTT and your stages in Eastern France. It is pity to not use Western parts of the country, but your route is really good, so I give you some points nevertheless.

3rd : xiky.
Very well-balanced with not too much TT : the one around Annecy is the same as 2009 and I like it ! It is interesting to put Col du Coq which is really hard (and quite dangerous as well), but it is really pity to not have any summit finish in the Pyrénées, because your stages have some good ideas.

2nd : Pincoletto.
Obviously one of my favorites, with beautiful climbs and good ideas as Mont Ventoux by Malaucène side and the downhill to Sault. I really like your Champ du feu finish, with my bed climb : col du Donon. Moreover, Alpe-d'Huez is always a good idea, and Mont Pilat too. And what a symbol to connect Chemin des Dames to Verdun in a single stage. One thing annoys me : Pyrénées seem too little !
Congrats, this is a really good job !

1st : Kanon16 - V1.
Your two routes could have got my vote, and this is why your are my first choice. Is this first one, I really like your Nancy stage, even if the finish seem a little bit complicate, and your Vosges stages, particularly the Haut Koenigsbourg finish. Putting Iseran is the best idea of the world to me, as this is the most beautiful climb we could find in France (still in my opinion  ). A single default : why do you always put 2 intermediate sprints ?
Very good job !

You all made a good job, discover them was a pleasure !

5. Xiky V1 - Some interesting climbs in it, and the Alpine stages are great.
4. Diego12Alpe V1 - Stage 8 and 17 are very good. Also pretty classic parcours.
3.Bocmanis82 V1 - Particularly liking the Grenoble-Gap stage. Pyrennes are pretty classic climbs.
2. Mirere1985 V1 - Very good medium mountain stages. Stage 19 is just awesome.
1. Kanon16 V1 - The best for me. Perfectly balanced route, liking the Iseran stage here.

FIFTH PLACE - DYDYDYDOU-V2 maps/tours/view/9410
One of the best tours of the contest, but it has some mistakes. It lacks mountain stages without a Mountain Top Finish, and most of the climbs are short and steep, so I miss some long and smooth ascents. It has maybe too much flat stages, I miss maybe some kms of time trial. I also miss some medium mountain in the first week and high mountain in the last week. I like the Cabuorg stage and the Pyrenees routes. I don't like the flat stage the day before Paris.

FOURTH PLACE - Taaramae_Crack-V1 maps/tours/view/9967
Stages are good, but this Tour has some problems in its general structure: too much flat stages, i miss one more mountain stage and maybe some more TT. I am not sure the dirt roads of stage 4 are a good idea, stage 6 is ridiculously long (1 meter below UCI limit!) and stage 7 has maybe too much cobbles.

THIRD PLACE - Xander66-V1 maps/tours/view/8741
The idea is really good and the stages are pretty correct, I value that unless there are some structure mistakes. I miss more flat stages in the first week and more mountain in the last one. Maybe the dirt tracks of stage 6 are too heavy for the Tour de France.

SECOND PLACE - Pincoletto-V1 maps/tours/view/9328
I like the Tour, although it has some mistakes. Stage 2 could had been more exploited with more hills, and both time trials are somewhat similar. Maybe the Alpe D'Huez stage is excesively hard. The second TT maybe could had been later, you give the last 9 stages without it. I like stage 4 (Liège-type!), the cobble stage is okey. I do also like the Ventoux stage and Saint-Lary-Soulan one.

FIRST PLACE - Bocmanis82-V1 maps/tours/view/9936
I love this Tour. Clearly my favourite. I like the starting TT, the Bretagne stage, in the first week some stages are too long. To criticize something, some stages are too long, specially in the first week.

In my oppinion if you make a route you have to make sure that the finish line is in a realistic place, not just the middle of a town or a small road or something where is no place. Thats why I didnt even look at the profiles of a lot of tracks

FIFTH PLACE: Belgian4444-V1: maps/tours/view/8639
I dont get why you went to Spain for a whole stage? Enough mountains in France in opinion :p. Also finish on top of Pailhères seems impossible to me.

FOURTH PLACE: Laplaz-V1: maps/tours/view/9472
The descend to Sospel in stage 14 is quite hard, maybe too hard for a downhill finish. Also your finish in Luz-Saint-Sauveur is strange.

THIRD PLACE: RdZ1201-V1: maps/tours/view/8916
Really nice Alpes stages. Would have loved one more Pyrenees stage. Also the 4th stage, I don't like those kind of gravel sections in the Tour. I think they are too dangereous because they are less wide then the Italians.

SECOND PLACE: Pincoletto-V1: maps/tours/view/9328
Some really nice stages, but the Pyrenees could be better

FIRST PLACE: Bocmanis82-V1: maps/tours/view/9936
Really nice Tour. soft start and harder stages near the end. I love it!
