The Zomegnan Challenge

Post by Pigna »

Image

This is the only challenge approved by our only god Zomegnan |zome4

The rules are simply:
  • The goal is to draw the stage with the highest upward drop without exceed 300 km.
  • There are no restrictions on the nationality of the stage, it can also cross national borders.
  • You can only insert paved roads and covered by Google Street View, except the climbs (paved and not) covered in a GT.
  • No circuits or street repetitions allowed, only intersections.
  • The arrive must be praticable for a GT finish line.
The partecipants must only post here the stage link. There isn't a deadline: the user with the highest upward drop there is the horder of the challenge. I invite you to post a stage, also if it isn't the hardest to improve your ranking. The ranking will be for stage, not for use (or rather if a user tracks the 3 hardest stages, he occupies all the podium).
The stages require the approval from a member of staff or an admin before entering in the ranking. Also the member of the staff or admins can partecipate, but they can't approve their stages.

Amen |zome1

Ranking:

1) Paganini (Samoga - Parque Los Lavaderos > El Teide): 14199 m
2) SergioHernan96 (Funchal > Santa Maria Madalena): 13304 m

More than 11k D+

Question for the mods: you can't go up to the Rifugio Auronzo, the editor doesn't allow fo it
It could be a seasonal closing, like Stelvio or Agnello in the winter.

You could track the route with an editor that ignores these data (Strava, e.g.) and import the GPX in a track here.

I made a challenge to be able to make a "zomegnan approves" stage in the Appennines and i think i succeeded. 15 categorized climbs, 10321 meters of climbing, 299,8 kms long madness throughout Molise's (yes, it exists) and Abruzzo's mountains. maps/viewtrack/hd/80176
