Re: Contest #7 - Tour de France - VOTING

It was difficult choice this year. These five might be the best ones this year, IMO: 5th: davandluz - I like that you take first two stages "easy". Finish in Mende in stage 4 is cool too, I have always wondered how it would look early in the race. Finish in Mantet looks interesting but who...

Re: Contest #7 - Tour de France 2020 [Cat. 1]

https://www.la-flamme-rouge.eu/maps/tours/view/16101 Description: Tour will visit all mainland regions but Bretagne. Initially I wanted to visit all regions - however, after 2021 Grand Depart was moved to Bretagne I decided that I'll do stages in this wonderful region next year. My tour, just like o...

Re: Contest #7 - Tour de France 2020 [Cat. 1]

The route starts with similar stages to the two in the real Grand Depart, however I didn't include the Col de la Colmiane in favour of a really steep Col d'Eze. Mont Faron is the first summit finish on stage 3. The race then heads to Montpellier before stages 5 and 6 go over rugged terrain in south...

Re: Contest #7 - Tour de France 2020 [Cat. 1]

If I want ITT/TTT for stage 1 - should I use as "starting point" KM zero (Avenue de Rimiez) or GD starting point (Place Masséna)? If I need to use km zero as starting point - I would need make 4km descent immediately after start for my ITT/TTT. I don't want to start at Avenue de Rimiez bec...

Re: Contest #4 - Voting

5th place: Carlo33 Some nice mountains, some good stages in first and second week. I did not like that Belgium is in final week. 4th place: jibvalverde Very nice first week with cobbles, hilly stages. I would have wished that high mountain stages of 2nd or 3rd week are harder. 3rd place: kanon16 I l...

Re: Contest #3 - Voting

Total mountain top finishes; no more than sixty percent the total amount of high mountain stages (e.g. 6 out of 10, 4 out of 7, 2 out of 4, but not 6 out of 9). Where did you get this point? The real 2019 TDF was designed with 5 MTFs out of 7 high mountain stages (71%). Are you saying that real TDF...

Re: Contest #3 - Voting

5th. JADmeal: maps/tours/view/11939 Nice and original route with finishes at very interesting places. Would love to see MTFs at Pointe du Dzonfié or Pas des Alpins if it is possible for TDF finish there. I also love La Mauselaine stage. 4th. IamCeeKae: maps/tours/view/12014 Very nice route with a lo...

Re: Contest #4 - The Merckxian Grand Tour

What is limit for prolouge ITT/TTT? I think in modern era it is 8km, but in Eddy's era I have seen 10km prolouge ITT.

Will you deduct points for unpractiable roads or finishes this year? Can I put MTFs in places where it is difficult/impossible for tdf to go?

Re: Tour de France 2018 - Voting

5h position: Mauro-V1: maps/tours/view/8697 - nice route but mountain stages are probably overdone. 4th position: Tomremn-V1: maps/tours/view/9960 - nice balance between mountains and ITT. First week could have been a bit harder and there's just three 200km+ stages. 3rd position: Pontix-V1: maps/tou...
