Re: Christmas Contest Special - The Tour of the Tours
1. You can only go to the roads that were in the real TDF stages from 2001 to 2021. How strict is this rule exactly? Is it really ONLY roads and streets that have been used in a real TdF? Or can we add some 500m or 1km, for example for a safer finish section or to bridge between two parts of a city?

Re: Contest #7 - USA Cycling Race [Cat. 3] - Voting
5th place: jajoejoe Some very decent stages in the first half of the tour, but Whiteface Mountain kinda kills the race in my opinion. GC will pretty much be decided here with two flat stages remaining. I completely understand your choice to want to finish at the Niagara Falls, but to keep the race ...

Is 2 states the absolute maximum? Or is it just important that transfers between stages aren’t too long?

My entry for this contest: https://www.la-flamme-rouge.eu/maps/tours/view/18988 https://i.ibb.co/tQQ0qNr/Battle-of-the-North-map.png One of my main objectives was to stay close to the 'original' races on which the Battle of the North will be based. Re: Contest #1 - Entry contest [Cat. 3] - Voting
First of all, some general remarks: A lot of the classic routes were created in either the Benelux or the region around Roubaix. And although the routes in itself were pretty nice I didn’t consider them very suited for this contest, for 2 reasons. As for preparation races, I think the weather isn’t ...

Re: Contest #1 - Entry contest [Cat. 3]
Just a quick question: are these races we make meant to take place only this year, as a replacement for the cancelled ones, or should they be made considering the calendar in a ‘normal’ year? (Basically I just want to know if it would be stupid or not to make a race in the Americas. Right now it’s n...

Re: Contest #5 - Giro d'Italia - Voting
To me it was very important that this route had to be made for the month of October, so it couldn’t be the same parcours as any other Giro. You had to actually make changes considering this, and adapt your routes accordingly. Even though the rules allowed it, I personally did not accept climbs above...

Re: Contest #4 - UCI Road World Cup - VOTING
Deciding my top 5 wasn’t easy. A lot of people made some great and interesting races, but in the context of this particular contest, I wasn’t always satisfied. To pick my top 5 I eventually made a points scale, where everyone started with the same amount of points, and I simply deducted some every t...

Re: Contest #3 - Grand Tour of the Grand Tours - VOTING
To decide my votes I made a first selection based on the general map and my first impressions. That left me with 8 or 9 routes, and then I just had to look a bit more into the details, and this is what came out eventually: 5th place: sportdani19 Not every stage was to my liking, but I think your tou...
