Re: Contest #5 - Giro d'Italia - Voting

My perspective on this contest was that the difficulty should've been appropriate with the position of the Giro in the calendar and the pitfalls that the October weather holds. In my opinion, the hardest Giro is not the best Giro, in this contest. Also, many entries overlooked sprinters: given this ...

PaoloAgb, it seems that your route is not viewable. Is it still private by any chance?

Re: Contest #4 - UCI Road World Cup - VOTING

5th jibvalverde Rules kept simple, I like that... but are commercial teams or national teams competing? The Gotemba and Rio stages are just unneccesarily hardened versions of something already - or soon to be - seen. Same goes for the Richmond stage. Not fond of the Cartago stage either, in terms of...

Re: Contest #5 - Giro d'Italia [Cat. 1]

The regulation states that it is not possible to exceed 2500 meters above sea level (therefore it is not possible to propose climbs such as the Stelvio or the Gavia) "This means that you can go only 2500 in two stages" Does it mean over 2500 m only in two stages? It does mean that you can go above ...

Re: Contest #5 - Giro d'Italia [Cat. 1]

Re: Contest #5 - Giro d'Italia [Cat. 1]

What do you mean by this in your introductory post? What is an IS and how do you mean to mark it? IS: Intermediate Sprint, meaning that the UNESCO sites must be signaled as intermediate sprints to count. Race shall be end in Covid-19 dates, so October. This means that you can go only 2500 in two st...

Re: Contest #4 - UCI Road World Cup

UCI ROAD WORLD CUP 2020 https://www.la-flamme-rouge.eu/maps/tours/view/14793 THE RULES The World Cup concept has been radically transformed: UCI will crown a winning nation, rather than an individual; the world champion will not be a cyclist, but rather a country. In every stage, every national tea...

Re: Contest #4 - UCI Road World Cup

No kidding    One thing to consider about your plans is that - although you're route might not work in the winter - you're only failing on 1 part of the criteria. So you still stand a chance of doing alright in the contest. Yes I think I will try. My point is that I'm not sure of rou...

Re: Contest #4 - UCI Road World Cup

I think the rules are fine, different cyclists can have a different kind of season this way, each with a different recovery time. This way, a sprinter may have its recovery time for example around the Vuelta or the Giro if he doesn't partecipate while a climber may do it in February/March or right ...

Re: Contest #4 - UCI Road World Cup

Since the World Cup concept has been changed completely, and we can define the new rules, can the World Champion title be given to a nation rather than an individual cyclist?

Re: Contest #3 - Grand Tour of the Grand Tours - VOTING

Uhm I have a small question to those who already voted. Because of a small mistake emmea made the link of my tour doesn't work, and it was only opened 6 times (I think mostly by myself even). So if you guys didn't open my tour did you even open the others? (By the way I don't say this just because ...

Re: Contest #3 - Grand Tour of the Grand Tours - VOTING

Hello all, I considered firstly and foremost the feasibility of the tour: plausible Grand Departure, cities visited, feasibility of transfers and, most importantly, good balancing between the three organizers, reason for which I had to exclude many entries I liked: every country needs to have its je...
