IMPORTANT: Routing and Elevation API are limited to 7000 calls per day. In case they are expired, they won't work until limit is re-charged. You can try in this case to do a GPX on RideWithGPS site and import it on the editor

Re: Suggestions
The biggest issue I have with the editor (and also why I would usually prefer to use ridewithgps.com to trace the route 99% of the time) is that the map window is too large in vertical direction. This would be more or less ok (although not ideal) if all the controls I use (Street View selection, exiting the Street view, changing the drive/walking mode etc.) were at one side so that I don't have to scroll up and down constantly. However, that is not the case and if you add the fact that scrolling while cursor is at the map zooms in/out (which is a good feature otherwise), this gets fairly tedious.

Re: Suggestions
Another annoying thing, although less so than the previous one I mentioned is the facebook slider on the right hand side of the window, because it interferes with other features on the site.

The sliders interferes in the altimetry so placing to the left will make the tracking of summit finishes easier, at least in my opinion.emmea90 wrote:You prefer on the left or disappearing?tomáš.gonda wrote:Another annoying thing, although less so than the previous one I mentioned is the facebook slider on the right hand side of the window, because it interferes with other features on the site.
Regarding the other issue by Tomas, the "fault" is by Google, who moved the StreetView controls to the bottom forcing to scroll a little more. Having them at the top could be better (as it was some time ago), but it's not an important issue.

Re: Suggestions
Personally I would prefer it to be a static thing rather than popping up. On the left hand side it could interfere with the map in the track editor.emmea90 wrote:You prefer on the left or disappearing?
I agree that having all StreetView controls at the top or bottom would be a partial solution. However, even better (and actually a thing that can be done afaik) would be to have the map window adjusted to the screen resolution. There is no advantage in having a big map window, if you can't see it whole. And in fact it causes inconvenience as I mentioned above.Paganini wrote:Regarding the other issue by Tomas, the "fault" is by Google, who moved the StreetView controls to the bottom forcing to scroll a little more. Re: Suggestions
Hello,
I don't know if it happends because my shinings settings, but in vuelta style profiles, i find the normal profile and the 3D addition very similar, so i can't see well the profile. Shouldn't be done the 3D part of the profile a little bit darker?

Re: Suggestions
I know @emmea90, so i won't be critical about it, but, is there a possibility of having a darker 3D or only 2D profile? I think it looks better:

Given this, can we have a generic "Other" (or Asia, Africa...) flag for inserting important climbs belonging to nations not in the list?emmea90 wrote: I will refuse everything without a country.

Re: Suggestions
So, here's my suggestions for the editor and the climb map:
- Being able to toggle the climb map/cobble map/strade bianche map straight in the track editor. I think that's a priority to allow us to make a track without having to navigate through several tabs to check the maps.
- The climb map is set up on l'Alpe d'Huez by default. The problem is, when we browse the map to check another area, then go on another page, then use the "back" button on our browser, we don't come back to where it was before, it comes back to l'Alpe d'Huez. The browser should keep in memory the last shown area when we use the back button to come back where we came from.
- There should be a tick list to hide or show HC/1C/2C/3C/4C. It can make the editor easier to navigate.
- In the editor, there should be a "save as a new track" button. Having to refresh the editor each time we want to make a new track can be annoying when we're working on variants or several sides for a climb.
- I don't think the Route Type is relevant for the climb map, as HC will be 99% high mountain and 4C will be 99% plain.
- The climb map should show the details in that form: x.x KM at y.y % (like the ASO-style profiles). Right now, the length is rounded to the closest half-kilometer, but the average gradient is going up to the hundredth percent. I don't think people are truly interested in such precision in gradients (especially knowing it's not that relevant due to the error margin of altitudes in Google Maps), but having a better precision in length is important (8.26 km is not equal to 8.74 km as it's rounded to 8.5 km on the map).

This could be very handy, especially with fat-bottomed pc like mine, taking forever to reloadLinkinitouille wrote:
